Avoir des lèvres bien entretenues est indispensable toute l’année. En effet, leur peau fine et sensible est exposée aux agressions extérieures comme le vent, le froid et le soleil, ce qui favorise le dessèchement. Par réflexe, on humidifie souvent ses lèvres avec la langue ; cependant, cela aggrave les gerçures et les tiraillements. Alors voici quelques conseils pour pouvoir prendre soin de ses lèvres toute l’année.

1. Exfoliate regularly for smooth lips

First of all, a gentle exfoliation helps remove dead skin and prepares lips to better absorb moisturizers. However, it's important not to exfoliate lips that are too damaged or cracked.

PTherefore, it's best to opt for fine-grained, natural scrubs, available in jars or 2-in-1 moisturizing sticks. What's more, you can also make a homemade scrub with honey and sugar, for immediate use.

2. Intensely moisturize with natural skin care products

Then, to prevent dry, chapped lips, apply a balm rich in plant oils such as sweet almond oil or coconut oil. These ingredients provide deep nourishment and form a protective barrier against climatic aggressions.

And remember to apply it several times a day, especially before going out and at bedtime, to ensure optimal night-time repair.

3. Choosing the right make-up

A good lipstick can also enhance your smile, but it's important to choose the right shade! For a harmonious make-up look, it's best to avoid accentuating the eyes and mouth at the same time.

So, if your lips are light, opt for soft shades like light pink or coral. On the other hand, for darker lips, opt for deeper colors like plum or garnet. Finally, for long-lasting wear, permanent make-up can be an interesting solution.

4. Gentle make-up removal

Careful make-up removal is also essential for healthy lips. Long-wearing lipsticks leave residues that can prevent the skin from regenerating.

We recommend using a special eye and lip make-up remover, then applying it gently with circular movements to avoid excessive rubbing.

5. Adopt a healthy diet

Last but not least, lip beauty also involves nutrition. For this, give priority to :

  • Foods rich in vitamin C: citrus fruits, strawberries, kiwis, peppers.
  • Essential fatty acids: fatty fish (salmon, mackerel), walnuts, linseed, olive oil.
  • Antioxidants: Blueberries, raspberries, spinach, green tea, tomatoes.
  • Vitamin E: Present in oilseeds and certain vegetable oils.
